Clinical Reminders in Best Practice and Pracsoft / MD

Clinical reminders are made simple with our clinical reminder function.

To use this function, a basic understanding of using Appointuit Engage! would be helpful. 

Organise training for this now.

To send out clinical reminders:

  1. Create a new campaign
  2. On the set up page - name the campaign- this should be something like- Reminders week ending Jan 24 2016 or Pap reminder Jan 2016
  3. Set the time this campaign will go out either now, or schedule it to go in advance. > Next Step.
  4. Select Add new filter > Clinical reminders

  • Select the reminder reason/s
  • Select the practitioner/s
  • Select the date range
  • Optional - select include overdue reminders
  • > Apply filters
  • The names will appear below with the reminder reason- be sure to check these carefully for any free text reminder reasons that may not be appropriate to send. The list provides 3+ points of identification- first name, last name, DOB, email.
  • Note that only the names of those with email will show up. Others with no email, while they will show on the reports page in red, do not appear here.
  • When happy with recipient list > Next step

  • Select the template, the Reminder template- Generic will work like a mail merge letter
  • Edit text as required. The {{xyz_url}} are the merge codes- do not edit these.
  • When happy, save and preview email
  • > Next step
  • Send campaign as normal ensuring you mark this campaign to go into the patients file by ticking the box.

Your reminders are now sent. You can review the progress of your campaign by going to Appointuit Engage! > select the campaign you wish to review > reports.
